We stop by here to get gas and pick up healthy snacks. It is a family owned business with quality but affordable fruits, vegetables, and hot and freshly made tamales. The service is super friendly and fast. And the place gives you a good feel of how Davis was decades ago! Agriculture life.

Still my favorite stop off highway one to grab inexpensive but tasty tamales, fresh fruits and vegetables. The selection for dry fruits and nuts is excellent. Must grab your favorite pie on your way out! The staff' are always friendly and helpful. The service is incredibly fast even when the line is long. The vibe here is amazing. Everyone seems to be happy and having fun. Definitely will shop here again.

The variety of items is just crazy... end to end, Pedricks is packed. There's candy, pasta, and area for cheese and some meats, they have a refridgerator area of drinks and other goodies. An assortment of fresh and dried fruits and vegetables, And let's me not forget to mention the wall of sauces and seasonings. They have hot tamales available in chicken, pork and cheese. The staff are helpful. The lines can get long and kinda cramped but need not worry, they are quick to get line moving along. It's conveniently located right of the I80. We'll worth the detour.

They always have fresh-made pies and tamales. Their produce is good, clean, and varied/seasonal. The location is small so be prepared to be patient, especially if most have carts. My family likes the different nuts, seeds, and specialties like mustard, salami, and yummy chocolate... Most of the service help is younger, so they are trying but always pleasant. It is not cheap, but it is a great place to go for fresh and different items.

We arrived an hour before they closed and it was pretty slow compared to how it usually is. We got parking right up front. There was no line for the bathrooms. We got our cart and zipped right in. We started with the pies as they were just tagging them, indicating they were just being set out. We settled on a peach pie, it was delicious. The peaches are firm and tasty and the crust is perfect. The pie was $18.99. A little pricy, but worth it for the quality. I believe there apple pies are better then apple hill. Which is saying a lot for the quality of there pies. We found a bag of celery 5 stalks for $1.95 or so. The same price for a single stock at the grocery store. The only issues is what are we going to do with 5 stalks of celery. I made some kielbasa soup and used half a stalk. Now to figure out what to do with the rest. It looks like there will be lots of celery and peanut butter snacking going on. They had cutting boards for sale, but none with dried fruit and nuts on them yet. I look forward to that being on sale soon. Cafe Du Monde had some Beignet Mix and coffee for sale. They are located in New Orleans. I had no idea they sold it out of New Orleans. What a treat. But, also proves that not everything they sell is local. We also bought some Hoisin sauce, probably also not local, but we're out so we got a small bottle. We do enjoy shopping here as it's a small business. Family owned for 30years.. It appears that most things in the store are local like the produce and dry goods. They also have local honey for those of you who have allergies. We also bought a bunch of broccoli, 2 stalks for $3.99. Gala apples were under a dollar a pound so I bought a bag of 2-3 lbs. They also have some great deals on local wine. We got a bottle for $9.99. We're trying our best to buy local.

Solid place to grab some bulk pantry snacks and farmers market fruits and veggies. Just outside of Davis, this place didn't have anything that I felt was particularly unique. It specialized in what grocery stores would carry in the bulk pantry a few decades ago: candies, sour belts, oatmeals, trail mixes, nuts, wasabi peas to name a few. In NOV 2024, their pears and apples were gigantic and far cheaper than what my local Lucky and Safeway are charging. (Like $1.69/lb of Honeycrisp vs. $3.99-$4.69/lb.) My sister compared it to Sprouts Farmers Market without all the corporate overtones. I would definitely come here if I had some specific produce I wanted to grab while to/from Davis/Sac and the Bay.

It's a great place to get fresh produce and snacks. They have a huge selection of nuts, vegetable chips, fruit chips and candies. I love getting their vegetables chips, banana chips, habanero pistachios, honey roasted cashews, dark chocolate almonds and more! They also have garlic chips for garlic lovers. The staff saw me interested and let me have a sample. It's really good. It's incredibly nice and thoughtful of them to offer samples before committing to a whole bag. The place is not huge but is very cozy and well organized. It's like a farmers market. They also sell ice cream and tamales. One day I'll stop by to fill a picnic basket here and take it on a trip~

I like coming here to see the fun assortment of products & snacks--produce, candies, nuts & seeds, dried fruits, condiments, Fentons ice cream, pies, AND MORE! Little sample cups are here & there for the taking. However, it's a small place with narrow aisles that make maneuvering & just browsing so difficult! You have to squeeze against the sides for customers & carts to eek by. The tamales available here are so yummy, in particular the green chile & cheese. If you buy 12, you get 1 free! Customer service is straightforward.

Pedricks produce is located along 80. Most times when I am on this side of the bridge I stop on my way back home. I am a fan of roadside produce! Pedricks is pretty large with one half being locally grown produce and the other half gourmet nuts and jams and candies. This is the side of the store I usually have sticker shock. They sell pies. Also, pretty good tamales. Sometimes they have samples out of salsas. They also have tons of hot sauces. I always find something to take back home. This last time they had herbs and veggies to plant too!

Pedrick Produce on Highway 80 Whenever we travel south on Highway 80 towards Sacramento, we must stop at Pedrick Produce. This unassuming barn-style stand, easily overlooked by speeding drivers, offers a fresh, seasonal produce treasure trove. While the location might lack scenic views, Pedrick Produce makes up for it with quality. They source their fruits, vegetables, and even flavored pistachios directly from neighboring farms in the heart of Sacramento Valley's mega-farms. Beyond the standard offerings, I'm a huge fan of their delicious and healthy flavored almonds and nuts - perfect for a satisfying snack. They also have a selection of local honey available in different flavors. Founded in 1989 by brothers Henry and Frances Barraza, Pedrick Produce has built a loyal following by prioritizing locally sourced produce at fair prices. So, next time you're cruising down Highway 80 South, slow down and keep an eye out for this hidden gem. You won't regret taking a break to experience the freshness and quality of Pedrick Produce!
